My last employer exploited me.

-They paid me only a fraction of what I made for them.

- They made me BEG for time off with my family

- I was the object of silly office politics

- They expected me to Brown nose them to get ahead.

- Then after they has pimped me out for all they could get out of me
then I was LAID OFF!!

After much introspection I finally decided this about my former
employer and all other employers.....SCREW EM!!!!

I found a source of Legit online work where I could play by MY rules.

Gee, but you sound exactly like a former co-worker who gave a similar rant
before quitting his job. However:
1.) Turn your back on him for 2 seconds and he stops for a smoke.

2.) He gets or places personal calls on his cell phone at least a half a
dozen times a day and wastes easily an hour every day dealing with that
crap.

3.) Once or twice every week he misses the whole day, shows up late, or
leaves early because his little kid has a trivial problem like a scraped
knee or a runny nose - something his unemployed girlfriend has all the time
in the world to deal with by herself. Almost everything we do here
requires teamwork. One person taking unscheduled time off can mess things
up for the whole team. Time off for a real family problems is easy for
everyone else to accept. Time off because your girlfriend calls and says
she needs you to run out and buy some Pampers is ridiculous. Do that in
your own damned evenings and weekends. Don't expect others work late or
give up their weekends - their own family time - so that you can slack off.

4.) He complained that his starting wage was OK but he hadn't had a raise
for a year, even though he knew damned well that the company owner knew
about his sneaking away for smoking breaks, yakking on the phone, and
missing days or leaving early for trivial "family issues".

5.) Nobody tried to discourage him when he threatened to quit: firing
even someone like him is a pain in the butt with today's labour laws. We
were all just waiting for him to be gone so he could be replaced with a
dead dog or something else we'd get a better effort from. If he wants an
employer who will give him raises for that kind of behaviour, he should go
somewhere that is unionized.
